Théâtre : Jenny Luxeuil, une étoile oubliée
In a psychiatric hospital room in the early 1960s, Lucienne Raphenne, an ageing woman suffering from mental and physical problems, conjures up a vision: that of Jenny Luxeuil, the sparkling young actress she was in the Roaring Twenties.
This surreal encounter with her double in the making gives rise to intense exchanges between the two sides of the same personality: Jenny, full of drive and ambition, and Lucienne, fervent and disillusioned. The play explores the evolution of society and the status of women, freedom and faith.
The aim of this initiative is to pay tribute to this little-known woman, as part of a regional and departmental project, while highlighting the cultural and historical wealth of the local area.
Dramatic, dreamlike and surreal theatre.
