Concert : Chœur Micrologus

At St Peter's Basilica.

Building on its established reputation in the classical repertoire, the Micrologus Choir has taken on a new challenge in this programme, performing two Masses by contemporary composers: Sunrise Mass by Ola Gjeilo and Little Jazz Mass by Bob Chilcott.
Working regularly with the same ensemble of musicians, the voices are magnificently supported, especially by Benjamin Faure's powerful piano accompaniment.
With Little Jazz Mass, percussion can join in at will, adding the flavour of an authentic small jazz band. This is magnificent, powerful music that touches the soul in two highly original compositions.
