Château de Messey

The Domaine du Château de Messey cultivates 10 hectares of Mâcon-Village, Mâcon-Chardonnay and Mâcon-Cruzille appellation wines, all organically grown.
The Clos des Avoueries, located a few kilometres from the château in the commune of Cruzillele, is our ancestral parcel. It has clay-limestone soil and a rich and diverse biodiversity, surrounded by wild forest.

The Crêts parcel, opposite the château, in the Mâcon-Chardonnay appellation, has very chalky soil, producing mineral, chiselled terroir wines.

The Château is listed as a historic monument and has a capacity of 50 beds in the château's rooms and in the 5 adjoining winegrowers' houses. On the menu: sauna, swimming pool, wine tasting and tours of the cellars and vineyards.
