Sortie nature avec Pablo Behague "sous le feuillage des âges"
Ancient European mythologies, whether Greco-Roman, Celtic or Norse, abound with episodes in which plants and trees play a key role. Plants and trees occupy a central place in the human imagination and play a much deeper symbolic role than might first appear...
As we stroll through the grounds of the Luxeuil-les-Bains thermal baths, a place steeped in history, we'll immerse ourselves in this fascinating world by observing the flora that surrounds us. We'll meet the tree nymphs (dryads, hamadryads, méliades...) and Pitys, who turned into a pine tree to escape the attacks of the god Pan. We will also look at Yggdrasil, the world-tree of Norse mythology, as well as the oracular oaks in the sanctuary of Zeus and the famous apple trees on the island of Avallon, symbolising the Celts' Other World... Through ancient stories, we will see that the plant world conceals a fantastic dimension that is largely unsuspected.
