In a desolate landscape, two pairs of irrevocably present characters tell stories and anecdotes that are out of tune, but that end up making sense and expressing something of life. Vladimir, Estragon, Lucky and Pozzo energetically fill the waiting room. In 1953, using a non-formal writing concept and different levels of language, Beckett wrote a major theatrical score that broke with traditional theatre.
