What is la Route des Chalots ?

The chalot, a small wooden attic that can be completely dismantled, is a special feature of Vosges region. It used to be built next to farms to store certain crops and precious merchandise in order to protect them from fire.

Between the Vosges and Haute-Saône, the Route des Chalots is a 120km itinerary for touring by car, bike or horse. With its many points of interest, heritage and nature, you can design your own tailor-made roadtrip and plan your stops to discover some of the 37 partners along the way!

Chocolate makers, brewers, butchers, livestock farmers, restaurants, accommodation providers and garden owners all invite you to discover the skills and know-how of their region!
