Domaine du Clos du Fief
It all started in the 1920s with Françis Tête. A cooper and cellar master, he created the exploitation to pass it on to his son Raymond in the 1940s, a pioneer in the direct sale of bottles on the property, on a surface area of 6 hectares. In 1978, Michel, Raymond's son, while helping his father, took some vines for rent and settled down in 1980. He developed the exploitation both for private individuals and for export and considerably enlarged the domain on 14 hectares of vines. In 1988, he founded the name "Domaine du Clos du Fief". Today two generations are living side by side. In 2014, Sylvain, Michel's son, joined the domain after training in viticulture and oenology with numerous internships in different estates. Discovery of the Australian vineyard with professional experience on the First Creek estate (Hunter Vallez). Thanks to his experience and his 5 years of winemaking at his father's side, Michel and Sylvain Tête's company was created in 2015.
