Marcel Aymé (1902-1967) was a French writer, playwright, short story writer, screenwriter and essayist,
screenwriter and essayist. Author of two essays, seventeen novels,
several dozen short stories, a dozen plays, over 160 articles and stories. He remains very attached to his native region, Franche-Comté, to which he has made his home.
Comté, to which he has given pride of place in his novels: "La Table aux
crevés" (Prix Renaudot 1929), "La Vouivre" (1943) and "Gustalin" (1938).
