Concert : Philippe B Tristan

Philippe B. Tristan, a native of Jussey (Haute-Saône), has lived in Siberia for the past ten years, where he has continued to develop his uncompromising French chanson, underpinned by a highly personal vision.
Perceived from the Slavic world as a Latin-language interpreter, he has been keen to develop this aspect that the French are not always aware of, as he claims to have a Latin-European culture. His repertoire therefore includes
bossas novas, mornas, tangos, swings and a few rumbas backed by a flamenco guitar that has replaced his Canadian folk guitar. What a symbol! Her rhythms are sometimes reminiscent of the Gipsy King, Manu Chao or Gotan Project, and her vocal technique alternates between melody and slam. His themes are those of an observant traveller, with musical colours largely inspired by his travels around Europe.
